چکیده

Additive manufacturing (AM) can revolutionise engineering by taking advantage of unconstrained design and overcoming the limitations traditional capabilities. A promising application AM is in catalyst substrate manufacturing, aimed at enhancement catalytic efficiency reduction volume weight reactors exhaust gas aftertreatment systems. This work addresses fabrication innovative, hybrid monolithic ceramic substrates using technology based on Digital Light Processing (DLP). The designs are two individual integrated into a single, dual-substrate monolith various interlocking These novel monoliths lay foundation for potential complexity expense system. Several examples systems dual were designed, manufactured thermally post-processed to illustrate viability versatility DLP process. Based findings, sintered parts displayed anisotropic sintering shrinkage approximately 14% X–Y direction 19% Z direction, with density 97.88 ± 0.01%. Finally, mechanical tests revealed integrity designed interlocks. U-lock Thread configurations found sustain more load until complete failure.

A Novel Extrusion-based Additive Manufacturing Process for Ceramic Parts

An extrusion-based additive manufacturing process, called the Ceramic On-Demand Extrusion (CODE) process, for producing three-dimensional ceramic components with near theoretical density is introduced in this paper. In this process, an aqueous paste of ceramic particles with a very low binder content (<1 vol%) is extruded through a moving nozzle at room temperature. After a layer is deposited, ...

Novel Beam Diagnostics Improve Laser Additive Manufacturing

Laser additive manufacturing (LAM) is rapidly becoming an important method for the fabrication of both prototype and production metal parts. However, the technology is really just in its infancy, and significant work still needs to be done in the development of new materials and in understanding how various process parameters affect results. In particular, LAM methods typically have a relativel...
